50 AI phone case prompts that print beautifully

A prompt that looks good on a screen isn't always one that prints well on a case. Here's the formula, the pitfalls and 50 examples.

The formula

[subject] + [setting/background] + [style] + [2–3 colours]

Example: a koi fish swirling in dark water, ink-wash style, red and black.

Words to avoid

• “phone case”, “mockup”, “iPhone” — the AI may draw a phone instead of art for the phone.
• Brand names, logos, characters from films/games — we can't print trademarked or copyrighted material.
• Long sentences of text — keep any text to a name or a few letters, in quotes.

Composition tips

• “Full-bleed pattern” or “seamless” for designs that wrap edge-to-edge.
• “Subject in the lower half” to keep it clear of the camera cutout.
• “High contrast” for designs that pop on a glossy finish.
